CTA Yellow Line by mrsam127 and SimCentral
Description

We have long wanted to create new OpenBVE content- routes and trains belonging to cities and agencies not yet served by the development community. In doing so, we’ve created Amtrak, LIRR, MNRR, NJ Transit, and even GO Transit content. We are now looking to expand our existing subway content for OpenBVE. CTA, Chicago’s main transit agency, runs numerous bus and rail lines. We have created the Yellow Line, or “Skokie Swift” because of how short the line is (only three stations).

The Yellow Line shows many characteristics of a railroad, similarly to other CTA lines. There are numerous grade crossings, grade level stations, and natural/suburban scenery. The route is short, but still very interesting.

We currently do not have any CTA rolling stock, but we are drafting 5000-Series cars and beginning work on sound and physics properties. We have no estimates right now as to when CTA cars will be completed, but stay tuned on BVEStation.

Please note that this route is a first release (beta-style), and in the future more scenarios, bug fixes, etc will be provided. Right now, there are three route scenarios:
-Normal Scenario from Dempster-Skokie to Howard
-Snowy Scenario from Dempster-Skokie to Howard
-Nighttime Scenario from Dempster-Skokie to Howard

Is there ever going to be a CTA Chicago train? If so, you should make a CTA 2200 series! They have folding dors and were 44 years old when they retired! Please make a 2200 series.
