Its been a very busy year for the people of BVEStation, and the BVE community as a whole, here are the highlights of BVEStation and the things we were involved in. This is the BVEStation 2009 Year in review.

BVEStation Teamspeak Server - The transition of the BVEStation Teamspeak Server ownership to Westby, his dedication in running the server has greatly increased the popularity of the Teamspeak, and with the frequent upgrades, NYCTBA has developed into something more than what it meant to be.  Including the Motorman's Institute, the merging of the 3, has resulted in more frequent runs, and a more user friendly interface to get users to try a new view at BVE.

NYCT-R Begins development - It seems like forever, but believe it or not the R only started development this year.

Coney loses the 4 - After hard work on the NYCT-4 Line one of the only IRT routes in development at the time, coney's computer crashes and all work is lost.

Coney starts the 6 - After the loss of the 4 (which is now handed over to BStyles) coney begins to work on the 6.

Bstyles continues the 4 - Taking it over from coney, and hands the W over to JayJay.

JayJay works on the W.

Error46146's R160 Siemens is released, with exterior views, and works on OpenBVE.

Rayv145 fixes the R160 for BVE 2 and 4 (and the other R143)

coneykidw8 and rayv145 also redid the Riverbank Park Shuttle.  The first American route with timers.

BVEStation v4 - BVEStation gets a brand new look, as opposed to its older lighter version.

OpenBVE Multiplayer Extension - The small multiplayer extension, started by ipaclansite, the first one to take the source code of OpenBVE, and make something out of it.  The program is available to download on the links above.

BVE-Routes - The BVE-Routes website makes a comeback as a wiki, where users can now post their routes as opposed to the owner himself doing the whole thing.

Just recently, the Queensbound V train has complete its run all the way to 71st Continental, thanks to Phantom909, ipaclansite, and of course, coneykidw8.

There are probably events that I may have missed, and if you would like you can post them in this topic, to remind us all.  I may even edit it in if I deem its significant enough.

So once again, I would like to thank our highly dedicated development team for all their work to provide you guys with the best New York City Transit routes for BVE (in general), may we continue to propel the development, cause hey believe it or not we're working alot faster and with higher quality than our old team did back when the first R was released.  Special thanks to Phantom909 for laying the basis of virtually every route you guys drive, there wouldn't be any accuracy without him.

Also a personal thanks to CanarsieR27 for providing the BVEStation backup services for developers and Westby for the official BVEStation Multiplayer Teamspeak server.  BVEStation is the only BVE site out there that provides these services, so be thankful for that.  And of course special thanks to all our members, and I know we say this every year, but its you all who provide the life of BVEStation, in terms of encouragement, ideas and the people who actually play our routes.  Yet, there is still no cost to you guys, every service and download is provided free for all members (including the website, Backup Services, and Teamspeak). I wont ask you guys for anything, but continue being members, get involved in the community, introduce a friend to BVE and show them BVEStation, create tutorials for us to use (video tutorials would be excellent), help a developer out with a route, and spread the word about BVE.  Want to be on the cutting edge, read the tutorials on how to create routes, learn to create trains, if you need any type of assistance, don't hesitate to ask in the forum, in the chat, or in the teamspeak server.  You will always be able to speak to a developer on BVEStation whether it be live or not.

So on that note, on behalf of the BVEStation Administration Team...

I wish you all a Merry Christmas (which past already), and a Happy New Year. Better hopes and wishes for the year to come in 2010.

Thanks!

Other Notes: Remember there is a GO in place for the BVEStation Backup Services.  Teamspeak and BVEStation Website will not be affected.  See http://www.bvestation.com/forums/index.php?topic=3672.0 if you think you may be affected.

Administrative/Moderator Notes: Please do not post in the news section, until 2 days after New Years (Sunday and after is when you can continue to post news in the news section)  Unless its major and important, you may edit this post, and stick it under this.  If you do it I will move it to the general site section, and move it back after New Years.
